1. Are your bartenders certified?
BarChefs only employ bartenders with "TIPS" (Training for Intervention Procedures) certification by Massachusetts Alcohol & Beverage Commission. We only provide the most experienced and professional bartenders for your event.

2. How far in advance do I have to reserve your services?
BarChefs suggest reserving your date as soon as the event is confirmed. Try to contact us at least 2 weeks prior to your event, but don't be afraid to call us at the last minute. We'll do our best to accommodate your needs.

3. How many bartenders do I need for my party?
As a general rule you should hire one bartender per 75 guests. If you are expecting a lot of guests please try to notify us well in advance so we can arrange the schedules of several bartenders.

4. Do you charge a gratuity on your invoice?
Gratuities are not added to our invoices unless directed to do so by the client. We do ask that you allow our bartenders to display a professional looking tip jar so guests can tip if they so please. Generally tips from the event host are not expected if a tip jar is present. Gratuities are left to your discretion, but a gratuity of $100.00 per 5 hours is standard if the client is happy with our service and wanting to tip the bartender. If the client does wish to tip the bar staff instead of having a tip jar present, we ask that you notify BarChefs prior to the event to ensure your wishes are noted.

5. Do you require a deposit?
All clients are required to sign a BarChefs Event Agreement. We ask for a 50% non-refundable deposit to save your date. The balance is due 30 days prior to your event.

6. What happens if someone gets drunk at my party?
Our bartenders are "TIPS" certified and are trained to monitor your guests to ensure no one puts themselves or anyone else at risk for injury. We will politely refrain from serving beverages to those guests who are pushing the limit to lessen the liability of the person providing the alcohol. If a situation does occur, our bartenders are trained to diffuse the situation in a friendly and tactful manner.

7. How can I pay for the event?
The balance is due 30 days prior to your event. We accept cash, check, or credit cards through PayPal. If paying through PayPal there will be a 3% surcharge added to the balance. This charge is mandated by PayPal, not BarChefs. Please make all checks payable to: BarChefsTraveling Bartenders
